I Love Mustard

My wife accuses me of being addicted to mustard. I love it. I put mustard on my sandwiches and in my chili. Not a dab, a lot. I want to visit Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, for their National Mustard Day. Music will be provided by the Poupon U Accordion Band. Seriously.

The Mustard Museum on Mount Horeb is moving a few miles down the road to Middleton, Wisconsin. There are 5,000 mustards and 1,500 antique mustard pots, bottles, and tins on display. The museum draws up to 30,000 visitors a year. (I thought I loved mustard. These people must be really, really serious).

Jesus said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains. Think of the faith it takes to actually build, fund, and open a mustard museum. I want that guy on our long range planning and finance team. Anyone that can open a mustard museum must have faith. I’m willing to sit down with him over a Nathan’s hot dog, some relish, and, of course, lots of mustard.

  1. Good Morning Michael:
As I write this on my lap top, my wife and I are at the Comfort Inn and Suites, in Findlay, Ohio. We will be attending a family reunion on my father’s side of the family throughout this week. He is deceased, but many cousins, nephews and nieces are here along with their families. I think of the program MATLOCK when you speak of hot dogs with mustard. Andy Griffith was the star and his likeness for hotdogs with plenty of mustard. I agree with you about faith – I try! But being human, I know I fail. Nevertheless we continue! We will be going back to Texas on September 19th. Let’s trade prayers.
