Will the President Intervene in My Situation?
I never thought I would see the day when the most powerful man in the world would allow himself to step into our world as much as our president has. In an ever changing story line from “I don’t know all the facts” to new rumors that he anticipated and even wanted the question, we now have the president of the United States, on government time and our tax dollars, setting up a meeting over beer with a police officer and an arrested professor. What Is True Faith?
I hear much about faith that has nothing to do with faith. We are immersed in too many “faith preachers” and “faith healers” who misuse and abuse the biblical term. Their view of faith is more presumptive and arrogant than it is biblical. They tell people who are not healed that they just don’t have enough faith. They ask you to exercise faith by sending them money. If they had faith, would they need to ask for seed faith gifts and donations? Continue reading “What Is True Faith?”
Our Only Hope
We’ve put our hope in everything under the sun. Most of our efforts in the body of Christ are nothing more than baptized versions of Solomon’s attempt to find happiness in everything under the sun. We’ve trusted in our resources, denominations, programs, methods, buildings, budgets, and events. We’ve promoted that which we should have punted on years ago.
