God’s Word for Hurting People
No book of the Bible has been read more often than the Psalms. It served as the Jewish hymnal and has been a favorite section of Scripture through generations. The psalmist deals with heart issues like grief, discouragement, loss, betrayal, guilt, failure, and loss.
In this series, we’ll be looking at how the psalmist learned to see God in his crisis experience. In our moments of despair, we need to develop a more intimate relationship with our Lord. As our pastor has said, “Instead of telling God how big your problem is, tell your problem how big your God is.”
If your world is falling apart or you feel abandoned, alone, forsaken, and forgotten, this is a series for you. When life tells you to look down in defeat, look up! When it seems you are surrounded by mountains of fear, focus on the living Lord.
Does the Gospel Even Matter?
In the first two chapters of 1 Corinthians, Paul declares the relevancy of the gospel for every generation. This generation is being victimized and hijacked by a gospel that is not the true gospel. The “gospel” of today appeals to our flesh, requires no changes in lifestyle, and allows sin and calamity to go unconfronted. If we continue on this path, we will never reach this world for Christ. The distinctiveness of the gospel is the key to the success of the message. The demands of the gospel are essential to calling people out of this world and into a new way of living.
Sinners do not need a new ethic, a new morality, or a new theology; they need a clear understanding of the Lord Jesus who came to set captives free. There is no gospel except Jesus Christ and him crucified. Any other “gospel” is not the gospel that saves and transforms.

Reign Down

I Am
In this study, Michael Catt examines each of Jesus’ “I am” statements found throughout the Gospel of John.
Meet the Need
Meet the need. It’s easier said than done. Some want the government to meet all our needs. But biblically it’s our responsibility to meet needs. This is no time for the church to be like the priest and the Levite who passed by on the other side of the road while a man was lying in the ditch. We must get involved. We must engage this culture if we want to change it.
How do we meet needs? By loving, giving, serving, and sacrificing. No matter who you are, you can meet a need. You are confronted with them every day. You see them all around you.
Corporately as a church body, we are called to meet the needs of this church, this community, and even the world as we take seriously the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Meeting the need is not optional…it’s biblical.
iHave an App for That
Through a study in the book of Proverbs, learn how to distinguish between the ways of the wise and the foolish, then delve into various topics including family, finances, morals, the tongue, and much more. Do you need wisdom to make godly decisions in your everyday life? God’s Word has an app for that!
Soldiers of the Cross
We need soldiers who will stand and fight for the faith. As Paul was facing the end of life, he wrote a very personal, strategic letter to his young protege, Timothy. In 2 Timothy, Paul gives clear, concise orders on the kind of soldier he expected Timothy to be because Paul knew we would face many battles. These battles determine the direction of the church, the gospel, and future generations. As an old soldier writing to his son in the ministry, Paul taught Timothy (and teaches us today) how to stand int he battle that rages for truth. The letter of 2 Timothy calls us to put on our armor and fight for the gospel. And it demands a response from us.
Control
What do you do when life throws you a curve? When those unexpected interruptions come banging on your door? When it seems adversity is relentlessly pursuing you? Where should you turn when it seems our nation is under judgment? Does God care? Does He know? Can he stop it?
There are answers, but you may not like them. Just remember, the people didn’t like the truth from the prophets of God when they delivered bad news. In the midst of all this, there is good news: God is in control. He has not vacated His throne, nor is He passive about what is happening all around us.
Pastor Michael Catt speaks from experience and the authority of Scripture as he uses illustrations of natural disasters and personal setbacks to illustrate the truths found in the book of Habakkuk. If you are feeling like life is “out of control” there’s hope. God is in control. He has the last word, and He can be trusted.
Word Made Flesh
In this series, Michael Catt plumbs the depths of the prologue to the Gospel of John.
Focusing on just a few verses, we will come face-to-face with Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh.

Come & Connect, Serve & Invest
We were made to live in community with one another. In this series, Michael Catt examines the importance of connecting with the body of Christ, maintaining unity within the church, serving one another, and investing our lives in that which will matter for eternity.

Is There a Lid on Your Life?
Many Christians live defeated lives. While God promises an abundant life, far too many Christians would define their lives as “struggling,” “hot and cold,” “up and down,” and “inconsistent.” Yet the Bible promises that we are more than conquerors through Christ. If that’s true, what puts a lid on our lives? Is it possible we’ve limited God and what He can do in and through us? The Bible teaches us of God’s sovereignty, but it also reminds us of things Jesus could not do because of man’s unbelief. Find out how to take the lid off of your spiritual life. Learn to address the issues that could be limiting you. It’s time to let go of anything and everything that’s stopping your spiritual maturity.

God’s Prescription for the Saints
We can’t live the life God intends in our flesh. While we can be baptized, indwelt, sealed, and even gifted by the Spirit, it doesn’t guarantee that we will live on a higher plane. Most believers find themselves trapped by compromise, carnality, and a casual approach to God. Left to ourselves, we will drift away from our higher calling in Christ. God has empowered us to think, live, and behave on a higher level–the level of faith. The flesh can never set us free. It is, in fact, reliance on the flesh that caused the Corinthians so many problems. Only when we learn to live by the law of love will we be overcomers. We’ve been called to be saints, but sometimes we fail to live up to our calling. In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul addressed controversial issues and sins that were troubling the church. He offers God’s precription for a healthy Christian life and a healthy, vibrant church.

Courageous Living
As we begin production on the new movie, Courageous, we are going to be looking at some of the courageous people in the Scriptures and what made them stand out in a crowd. Only courageous people are remembered. Cowards and compromisers are quickly forgotten. In today’s world, we need courageous men and women who see the impossible and think the unthinkable and hear the inaudible voice of God calling us to seek Him and serve Him. Do you have what it takes to be courageous?

Holy Yet Human
How do you live for Christ in a fallen world? Can you be both holy and human? These contradictory terms present us with one of the core issues of faith: Can I be godly and holy in these evil days? Can I live a holy life without being weird or strange? So, what is holiness? It has little to do with the things by which we normally define it. It’s not about rules; it’s about a relationship. Holiness is living a set apart life that is attractive. Jesus was the essence of holiness, and sinners listened to Him and followed Him. The people rejected the scribes and Pharisees in all their “holiness,” but gave their hearts to the holy Son of God. Let’s learn some things about holiness that will help us define the term in a biblical sense. It’s not easy being holy and human. In fact, it’s a constant tension, but God has given us a clear path. Holiness is not negative; it’s positive. It’s liberating and something every serious believer should pursue.
