Be Available

These past few weeks have been a whirlwind, including travel, the normal “Delta is not ready when you are” travel schedule and a lot of miles on my Enclave. I’ve had it 2 1/2 months and this last week alone, I logged about 1,400 miles. I think I need to see if the old TRUTH bus is still available. Plus I’m wondering if my chiropractor would consider traveling with me. I normally need either a mental or physical adjustment with the way travel goes these days. Continue reading “Be Available”

A View from Mt. Perspective

For the last thirteen years, we’ve been blessed to own a piece of property in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. After my father died and we were settling his estate, we had a small amount of money to put toward a down payment on a log house outside of Gatlinburg. Terri and I had prayed for twenty years to be able to one day own a place in the mountains (maybe retiring there at some point), and with a small investment, we bought a little log cabin. Does Preaching Matter? (a word for preachers and pew sitters)

Whether it’s discussed under the subject of worship wars or of what the exact nature of preaching is, this is a good question. Let me just go ahead and state the obvious.
