ReFRESH® is not just another conference. It’s unique among the “preaching and preacher” conferences I see constantly advertised. I have nothing against those conferences, but when we started this conference seven years ago, I wanted to do something others weren’t doing. Continue reading “What Makes ReFRESH® So Special?”
Can You Be Content?
I’ve been in ministry spanning five decades. I’ve served as a staff member and as a pastor. One thing I’ve never done when talking to a church is talked about money. Saying Goodnight to an Old Friend
Tomorrow I will preside over the memorial service of a longtime friend, Dr. Alan Day. Alan served as the pastor of First Baptist Church of Edmond, Oklahoma, for 25 years until his tragic death in a motorcycle accident this past Wednesday. At 62 years of age, Alan was young, energetic, passionate and a man’s man. He was a godly man who had one of the sharpest minds of anyone I’ve ever met. His theological insights from his in depth study of Scripture made him a powerful communicator of the truth of God’s Word. Continue reading “Saying Goodnight to an Old Friend”
Please Pray
I received word last night that my dear friend, Alan Day (senior pastor of Edmond’s First Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma), was killed in a motorcycle accident. Please be praying for Alan’s wife Alice, their four children and six grandchildren, as well as the church family at EFBC.
I’ve had the privilege of preaching in a Bible Conference at Alan’s church each March for the past several years. He was an excellent expositor and had a heart for revival and awakening. He will be greatly missed.
