Sunday’s worship set a new normal for the members of Sherwood. Not that we should or would expect every Sunday to be like this past one, but it certainly reminded us of what could be if a church obeys God and functions like an “Acts 2” church in all areas.
Just Dropping By
A while back, our minister of music and his wife came by to return something they had borrowed. They both apologized for just “dropping in on us.” I repeatedly said, “No problem.” It really wasn’t a problem. All I was doing was checking my Facebook status and Terri was checking her email in her home office. Will the President Intervene in My Situation?
I never thought I would see the day when the most powerful man in the world would allow himself to step into our world as much as our president has. In an ever changing story line from “I don’t know all the facts” to new rumors that he anticipated and even wanted the question, we now have the president of the United States, on government time and our tax dollars, setting up a meeting over beer with a police officer and an arrested professor.
