I hear much about faith that has nothing to do with faith. We are immersed in too many “faith preachers” and “faith healers” who misuse and abuse the biblical term. Their view of faith is more presumptive and arrogant than it is biblical. They tell people who are not healed that they just don’t have enough faith. Our Only Hope
We’ve put our hope in everything under the sun. Most of our efforts in the body of Christ are nothing more than baptized versions of Solomon’s attempt to find happiness in everything under the sun. We’ve trusted in our resources, denominations, programs, methods, buildings, budgets, and events. We’ve promoted that which we should have punted on years ago. Are You Others-Centered?
Recently I was at a convention and met several people I have admired from afar. I was also able to renew a few old acquaintances. Pat Williams, best-selling author, motivational speaker, and co-founder of the Orlando Magic, and I were able to catch up. I love Pat because he’s a leader, and he can give you a thousand quotes off the top of his head. Plus, he always has time for you.
